In 2009 the group released a compilation album titled Until One which featured the song titled Leave the World Behind, which is a collaborative track with Laidback Luke.

The trio signed a deal with Polydor Records in 2010 and achieved the first official single under the Swedish House Mafia name that same year. The song, titled One, was an international success.

They went on to release more singles, remixes, and a DVD. In October 2012 they went on to release their second compilation album titles Until Now which charted in various countries worldwide. It was particularly successful in the UK where it sold more than 300,000 copies.

Their single Don’t You Worry Child which was taken from the Until Now album went on to sell more than 5 million copies worldwide.

The group eventually broke up in 2014 following their farewell tour aptly called One Last Tour. Following the breakup, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso continued to perform together under the name Axwell & Ingrosso while Steve Angello went solo.

After the split, all three members continued to achieve success in their musical endeavors. They went on to release new music and performed at various shows and festivals.

On the 25th of March 2018, the group reunited for a performance at the Ultra Miami festival. Steve Angello went on to confirm that something [probably music] should be expected from the group in 2019, thereby confirming the group’s reunion.

Swedish House Mafia has placed on the DJ Magazine poll as a group as well as individuals.

The group primarily uses Apple Logic Pro as well as Pro Tools as their DAWs of choice. They run their production environments on the Apple macOS platform.

Keyboards that the trio uses include the Access Virus Ti2 synthesizer, Teenage Engineering OP-1 as well as the Akai MPK61 MIDI controller.

They also use several hardware effects units such as the Solid State Logic XLogic G series compressor, Empirical Labs EL8 Distressor, as well as the Universal Audio 1176LN limiting amplifier.

Their software effects plugins include popular processors such as iZotope Ozone, Waves, Vengeance Multiband Sidechain2 and Melodyne Editor. They also use the stock effects in Apple Logic Pro such as the Logic Space Designer reverb processor.

Their software instruments include Sonic Charge Synplant, reFX Nexus 2, Lennar Digital Sylenth1 and Rob Papen Predator.

The group uses the Yamaha NS10 speakers for monitoring their productions. Headphones used by the trio include the Urbanears Zinken, Sennheiser HD025 II, Pioneer HDJ-2000 as well as the WeSC Bassoon DJ headphones.
