Sander van Doorn is a music producer and DJ from Eindhoven, Netherlands. He was born on February 28, 1979, and given the name Sander Ketelaars. His primary genres of focus are electro house, tech trance, and progressive house.He entered the music industry in 2004 and released a large number of tech-trance songs via Oxygen Recordings. Many of the songs were well-received, and as a result, he performed regularly at the Gallery in London and Judgment Sunday in Ibiza.
In 2006 he was featured on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix. As his career progressed, he gained popularity due to his remixes which were well-received. One notable song he remixed was When the Sun Goes Down which was originally done by The Arctic Monkeys.
Other songs he has remixed include Control Freak by Armin van Buuren, Dance4Life by Tiesto, The Girl You Lost to Cocaine by Sia and Oh Yeah by Yello.
Sander released his debut studio album titled Supernaturalistic in 2008 via Spinnin’ Records. In the summer of 2010, he secured a residency in Ibiza and was the headliner at several music festivals, including Electric Zoo in New York, and Transmission in the Czech Republic.
His second studio album, titled Eleve11 was released in 2011 through Spinnin’ Records. It reached the number 62 position in the Netherlands and featured collaborative tracks with Laidback Luke, Sidney Samson, and Nadia Ali.
He released various singles in 2012, some of which managed to top the charts on Beatport. He also performed at Ultra Miami that year. The following year he started a monthly show called Identity via an internet radio station called Digitally Imported.
He toured and released singles over the following years. In October 2017 he announced that he was working on a new album which would be released under his alias Purple Haze. He stated that the project, titled Spectrvm would show a deeper and darker side of him.

Sander Van Doorn’s studio runs on the macOS operating system. The centerpiece of his studio is a copy of Apple Logic Pro. He also uses Ableton Live for editing tracks and creating mashups.
Rob Papen Predator, Omnisphere, and Spectrasonics Trillian are some of the software instruments for which he owns a license.
He uses the stock Logic Pro effects plugins such as Space Designer reverb coupled with third-party plug-ins such as Waves SoundShifter, FabFilter Simplon, and Camel Audio CamelPhat.
He uses a wide variety of headphones for monitoring audio in the studio and on stage. Some of the headphones in his collection include a pair of Technics RP-DH1200, Beats by Dre Pro, Pioneer HDJ-2000, Sennheiser Momentum and Pioneer HDJ-2000MK2.
An Apogee Quartet audio interface handles some of the audio input/output tasks in his setup.
Mackie HR824mk2, PSI Audio A24-M, Genelec 8050A, and a Genelec 7071A studio subwoofer are among the monitors that Sander uses for working on his mixes and checking for accuracy.
