Alessandro Lindblad, popularly known as Alesso is a Swedish producer and DJ who was one third of Swedish House Mafia. Alesso is most known for his work in progressive and electro house. He learned to play piano at the tender age of 7. He developed an interest in EDM at the age of 16.
He began making a name for himself in 2010 after releasing his EP titled Alesso EP. In 2011 he met Sebastian Ingrosso who mentored him in the areas of production and DJing. Surprisingly Alesso appeared at the number 70 position on the Top 100 DJs list of DJ Magazine, which was a testament to how talented he was.
He went to form the Swedish House Mafia with Ingrosso and Axwell and the trio garnered global commercial success as well as critical acclaim. He has since worked with the likes of Madonna, Ryan Tedder and Calvin Harris.
He has released more than 15 original singles, one studio album and a respectable number of remixes for various artists.
Apple Logic Pro is the DAW that Alesso uses during his production process. He uses a variety of keyboards including an Arturia Analog Experience 61 and an M-Audio Code 49. He uses an Apogee Duet 2 USB audio interface – a popular choice for many electronic musicians.
His headphones of choice include a pair of Beats by Dre, Urbanears Zinken, Sennheiser HD 25-SP as well as WeSC Bassoon DJ Pro headphones. Studio monitors he has been known to use include a pair of Adam Audio A7X speakers, barefoot MicroMain26, Genelec 1037A and Genelec 1032B.
His software tools include a copy of Sonic Academy Nicky Romero Kick Drum Synthesizer, u-he ACE, Sonic Charge Synplant, MODART Pianoteq 4, Waves plugin bundle, Apple Logic ES2 software synthesizer and Sylenth1.
