Eric Prydz is most popularly known for his hit single Call on Me which was released in 2004 and topped the charts in multiple European countries. The Swedish DJ and producer works primarily on house and techno music.
In 2006 he remixed Pink Floyd’s Another Brick Wall, Part 2 and released it under the title Proper Education. The single charted in various countries. Two years later he released another hit track titled Pjanoo which was also a hit single in the UK and has since been used in various TV shows, video games, television adverts and sports arenas.
Eric has released projects under various aliases including Pryda and Cirez D. He owns and runs several record labels – Pryda Friends, Mouseville and Pryda Recordings through which his music is released. His debut studio album Opus was released in 2016 and managed to top the Billboard US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Eric Prydz is a rather low-key guy so his studio setup is not as well publicized as some of his peers. However, it’s known that his setup is centered on an Apple MacBook which runs Apple Logic Pro as the DAW. Some of the software instrument and effect plugins he uses include the Waves Mercury bundle, the Apple Logic ES1 synthesizer, the Korg M1 synthesizer and iZotope Ozone mastering bundle.
On the hardware end, he’s known to use a set of Dynaudio BM15A studio monitors, an Apogee Duet 2 audio interface, a Crane Song Avocet Remote II and a Shadow Hills mastering compressor. During his DJ sets, he’s known to use a Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus and a Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus mixer.
He uses a wide variety of headphones such as the Sennheiser Adidas HD 25, Sennheiser HD 800, Sennheiser HD 25-C II and Sennheiser HD 25-1 II.
